What we collect

When you reach out through our contact form, we collect what you type: your name, company, email address, phone number, and a description of your project. That's it — we only receive what you choose to share.

That is the complete list. Unlike most websites, we don't run analytics on this one — we don't record which pages you visit, look up your location, or profile your device and browser. If you browse without contacting us, we collect nothing about you.

How we use it

We use your contact details to reply to your inquiry, to ask follow-up questions, and to scope your project if you ask us to. Since we don't collect anything else, there's nothing else to use.

In legal terms, our basis for this is your consent — you contacted us — and our legitimate interest in running a business and responding to the people who write to us. We don't use your information for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect.

What we never do

We never sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We don't add you to spam lists or drip campaigns you didn't ask for. We don't share your details with third-party marketers, data brokers, or advertising networks.

If you email us about a project, the only follow-up you'll get is from a person at 714software about that project.

Cookies & analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. There are no advertising trackers, no social-media pixels, no fingerprinting scripts, and no page-view counters. What you read here stays between you and your browser.

If we ever add measurement, it will be privacy-respecting and cookieless — aggregate page counts, nothing that identifies you — and we'll update this policy before it goes live.

Client project data

If you become a client, the data involved in your project — source code, databases, credentials, business information — is governed by your individual contract and NDA, not by this policy. Those agreements are stricter, specific to your engagement, and always take precedence for project work.

This policy covers only this marketing website and the inquiries that come through it.

Data retention

We keep contact-form inquiries for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation if you come back to a project later. After that, they're deleted.

If you'd like your inquiry deleted sooner, email us and we'll remove it — usually within a few business days.

Your rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. We extend the same courtesy to everyone, regardless of where you live.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address at the bottom of this page. We'll verify it's really you, then respond within the timeframes the law requires. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Security

All traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Inquiry data is stored with access controls in place, and only the people who need it to respond to you — on a need-to-know basis — can see it.

No system is perfectly secure, but we apply the same engineering discipline to our own site that we apply to client work.

Children

This site is a business-to-business service and is not directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For meaningful changes, we'll make the update obvious rather than burying it.

Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
